Autumn Faerie Fashion and Make-Up

Since its Autumn...the Faerie Folk, just like the plants and trees change their colors. The faeries change their clothes, their hairstyles, and even their make-up for this season! So we thought that it would be a good idea to fill you in abit on Faerie Fashion =)

We found some faerie clothes and other accessories inspired by this wonderful season.
During this season everything is mainly inspired by the colors that rapresent it: Yellow,Orange and Red.
But some designers have gone seriously over the top and added leafs  to their clothes. =) Simply amazing...

Oops..Faerie Fest Passed...

Oops...the faerie fest already passed without us even mentioning it. For those of you who don't know what the faerie fest is, well it's a  3-day-festival that takes place during the summer in Cornwall, England.  It's called the: 3 Wishes Faery Fest.
None of the PixieLovers team has gotten a chance to go there yet...but each one of us is planning to in the future.

Here is the link for more info: http://www.faeryevents.com/previous-faery-events/3wishesfaeryfest/

Again...sorry for all the faerie fans who just discovered about it and realize it already passed (kinda like we did : p ). But looking at the positive side...like this you can plan ahead and make sure to keep free this summer so you can go to Festival!

This is the 2012 (passed) promo. Dosen't it look cool? If you go next year make sure to be all dressed up in Faerie matter, since mainly everyone who goes is dressed up. There is live music, workshops and little handcrafted faerie items on sale...definetly can't be missed.

Faerie Jewelry # 1

So...as you might have deduced by the title...this post will be one of a long serie of posts about faerie jewelry. There is just so much out there! Okay...to start...here are some beautiful earrings which look like faerie wings, definetly one of PixieLovers favorites.

For a more dramatic effect, though, we recomand to opt for this pendant. The golden faerie matched with the purple stone gives it a very magical effect and almost other wordly that you won't be able to match with any other pendant you own. It also comes with earrings.

If you aren't up for the dramatic but want a more light-headed and happy look than this ring will definetly match your style. One thing for sure, it's not plain...in this ring it's all about the details and that's what makes it  so unique.

If you have any questions as to where we got these picture because you want to check out the sites yourself...please post a comment with the question and PixieLovers will reply ASAP. Also if you liked this post please comment and email it to your friends, we appreciate it! =)

Faerie Tea Party

Yup...we know its kinda getting chilly outside, and it's not exactly the best season to have a Faerie Themed Tea Party in your back yard...but we couldn't resist at this gazebo idea...
Isen't it just so adorable?

And...since you are going to love to have a party like this...why not match it up with some cute flower cupcakes, huh?! Perfect Tea Party Mood... : )

Miniature Faerie Gardens

So...browsing through the internet our PixieLovers team came across something so delightfully faerie-ish we could not miss it. Apparently there is a new trend in the Faerie World...MINIATURE-FAERIE-GARDENS! This is something that all PixieLovers loved to the point of extreme. Basically what you do is you get a large flower pot or a small space in your own garden and costruct a faerie garden in it! Some companies have even created a business around it and sell little faerie items to put in your gardens. In your faerie garden, you cannot miss little faeries and pixie statuettes placed behind flowers hiding from unknown strangers. The more faerie related objects you put in your faerie garden the cuter it will be, just make sure not to overload it. ; )

Faery Music

For centuries, the Faerie Folk has been associated with music. There are many fairy tales narrating stories of never ending faerie dances and deadly mermaid songs. Today, faerie music is becoming more rare and difficult to find and the ones that are blessed by the faeries to compose such music are only a few. Here are some very nice and relaxing faerie music, which will make you travel to the faerie world just by listening to it.

This song really captures the feeling of the Faerie Realm and it's matched with some very nice faerie pictures. The music is sang and composed by Gary Stadler and Wendy Rule.

This song is sang by Faun a german pagan band. The song is called Arcadia and resembles alot faerie dance music.

This song is still from the band Faun but has a more Celtic tune. It's called Iduna.

If you have any suggestions for faery music please post a comment with the title of the song and composer.

First Post

This is the first post to this blog, and as PixieLovers we all feel we need to explain a bit more on how this blog is going to work. There will be many different people writing on this blog, but to make it feel more like a team rather than individuals we have agreed that every post will be posted as PixieLovers. So to put it in simple words: every post is posted by a different person but with the same nickname.
